On a whim my friend Julie asked me if I’d like to join her for dinner. Jody Landers and Becky Straw of The Adventure Project were in town and she planned on meeting up with them. I, for sure, wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to meet two women striking out to face poverty head on.
Now I freely admit I’ve been in a bit of a bubble lately. I haven’t kept up with blogs, or much else during our transition home with Abrham. But how I ever missed something so cool as the Adventure Project I can’t imagine. Good thing I’ve got Julie to help keep me current.
I jumped at the chance to meet Jody. I had been a regular reader of her blog before I traveled to Addis this summer. And Becky Straw used to work with Charity Water- another cool organization.
Since self-sustainability is something I care deeply about for impoverished people I was excited to learn a little more about The Adventure Project. It’s a super cool organization headed for some exciting things, I believe. I’m definitely interested in discovering other ways to help. For now I’m going to Keep it Clean and get me some soap to help fund their water project. What could be cooler than cleaning up water supplies AND providing people with gainful employment? NOTHING.
Like I said at the beginning, The Adventure Project is AWESOME!

God issued me a command: be BOLD, Jen. Easy for Him to say. Being BOLD is the opposite of what I do when I’m living life without depending on Jesus.
